Message from Mark P. Bruh, Founder/CEO
From the Warfront to the Homefront Foundation Inc. was established in 2007, as a not for profit, non-political and non-sectarian referral-based 501 (c)(3) I.R. S. approved tax-exempt charitable organization. Its mission, to address the needs of, and advocate for, all veterans returning home from combat duties/services in both Afghanistan and Iraq. In addition to these men and women, the organization will also address the concerns and needs of the families of veterans, whether they have come back home or were killed in action. Many of these family members are bearing some of the heaviest burdens of these two conflicts.
Through four key components, providing referrals; raising public awareness of the needs, concerns and problems of what veterans and their families are going through; helping to raise both public and private funding for veterans, family of veterans, and the programs and services that are relevant to their needs and finally, to advocate on behalf of the families of the fallen to help insure their loved ones are NEVER forgotten, our Foundation will successfully maximize these goals and objectives that have been set forth in our established By-Laws.
Serving as a referral-based assistance organization, From the Warfront to the Homefront Foundation Inc. will function and serve as a "linchpin" or "bridge' that will connect veterans and the families of veterans with the various organizations/agencies that have been established to not only address the concerns and problems that they are confronting, but also provide a multitude of relevant and crucially important programs and services that seek to approve their quality of life. In seeking to "fast track" these individuals to the areas of assistance that they are reaching out to, our
goal will be to expedite the needs of veterans, families of veterans with mimimal stress, bureaucratic red tape and wait time for crucial and immediate care.
This collaboration and integration will involve a wide-ranging and extensive network of community-based organizations (CBOs'); veteran groups; governmental agencies; health-care professionals/agencies; educational facilities; jobtraining/placement programs and so much more. Our organization will seek to expand and sustain its referral-based
network by reaching out to other viable and relevant programs and services. Hopefully, such programs and services will work toward establishing partnerships that will further provide assistance to our targeted population.
Secondly, our organization will help to raise/heighten the publics' awareness of the numerous socioeconomic and health-related concerns, issues and problems that the previously noted population confronts each and every day of their lives. Our stated goal here, our purpose, is to first and foremost, generate and facilitate a wide-ranging and massive educational "forum" for the public at large. Only then, can we expand and enrich on what the public knows about such matters.
